Negative thoughts are exceedingly energy draining. They give you that sulky mood and makes you quite unhappy.
There are many contributing factors that could cause an automatic negative thought pattern in your life, and some of these factors are:

  • Living in an environment where everyone is a complainer
  • Keeping a wrong company e.g., people who keep gossiping, criticizing other people and never see any positive in anything
  • Being a person who only focuses on your problems and never on what you already have
  • Having an ungrateful heart
  • Never taking some time off to rewind, meditate and critic your life positively so that you can see those areas in your life that are great and also view what needs to be improved. 
  • Having a competitive attitude all the time and comparing yourself with other people.

I cannot emphasize enough about environment and company. You may have heard about the popular saying that goes by "misery loves company". If for example; you are in some stuck up situation, we all want to be in a company that will in some sort show us that we ain't alone.
It's not bad at all, but evaluate how this company will help you get out of your problems.

Does what your company mate talk about your current issues point towards a direction of how you will liberate yourselves from the issues? Or you only comfort each other and keep being stuck while envying other people, whom you think are doing well in their lives?

If a company is not building your character positively, then quit it.

  • Pride
  • Envy
  • Jealousy
  • Malice
  • Gossip
  • Lust
  • Hating one self
  • Ungratefulness
  • Hateful
  • Confusion


Any feeling that will kill your positive vibe is a negative thought and you need to work on it.
The Holy Book teaches us that; you know someone from the fruits they bear. If you are the proud and loud mouthed truly insensitive individual, I'll know your master or what controls you by how you treat the next person.

Like attracts like. If you are looking for a positive happy life, you have to be thinking in that alignment. Replace jealousy and envy with content, learn to appreciate and celebrate other people, celebrate your everyday small wins and keep a grateful spirit all the time.

By the way; being grateful is the best way to acquire a positive vibe right away. It's the shortest route to getting any miracle you want in your life.
By being grateful, you are added unto you, more good things so that you can continue being grateful.

Practice gratitude everyday by keeping a journal of those things in your life that you feel you are most grateful for and more shall be added unto you.

As an everyday practice, ask yourself this question:
How am I feeling?

If the answer is negative, please go back to the drawing board and seek the best way to drift that negative thought into a positive one.
You can do this by:

  1. Listening to your favorite music
  2. Doing an activity you love to do
  3. Avoiding negative people and not contributing or listening to a negative talk.
  4. Knowing the reasons as to why you need to be positive all the time
  5. Making a prayer by surrendering your negative thoughts to God and asking Him to fill you with peace and love
  6. Helping someone near to you
  7. Spending some time with the elderly or the children
  8. Reading an inspirational book


The list is endless but all those are ways you can use to quickly shift automatic negative thoughts into magical positive thoughts.
